Conference on Autonomy 2016. Sola Strand Hotel, Stavanger 16 - 17 March 2016.

The conference with focus on cross-fertilization for improving efficiency aims to be the primary forum in Norway for discussing future needs for autonomous systems and advanced automation in the industry, and be the place for bringing together the right people for future collaborations.  Industry is increasingly facing challenges that require radical new solutions. The oil and gas industry is seeking new solutions to reduce the impacts of the oil price collapse, the maritime industry is looking for solutions to meet new environmental challenges, and the process industry is looking for ways to counter increased competition on even advanced products from low cost countries.  Autonomy, advanced automation, cybersecurity, visualization, digitization, and the Internet of Things, to mention a few, will be crucial for meeting these challenges.  Target audience: Decision makers and professionals in the industry, research communities and authorities with special interest for autonomous and automatic systems.
